As well as sport climbing, the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 will offer three classes of lead climbing – with safety rope and bouldering at a jumpable height of 4 metres. For the qualifiers and semi-final, of lead climbing, climbers may take a look at the wall to be scaled before the competition begins. For the final, however, they will be required put their “on-sight” skills into practice as they seek out the best route on a wall they have never seen before.
