Wine Dinner for Team Oregon 2010

West Cafe is pleased to present a Wine Dinner Benefit for Team Oregon 2010.

The special wines are from a small, family owned and operated producer in Piedmont called Montaribaldi. Sean Concannon of West Cafe (and a Team Oregon 2010 member) has paired each wine with a special dish. As a bonus, the evening’s recipes will be made available to all guests. Wines can be purchased that night for your Holiday feasts at the below mentioned prices.

West Cafe is graciously donating 10% of the evening’s proceeds to Team Oregon 2010, sending athletes to Cologne Germany, August of 2010.

The dinner will begin at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2009.
West Cafe is located at 1201 SW Jefferson St in downtown Portland Oregon.

2008 Roero Arneis $20.00
Dungeness crab & chevre cocktail (w/traditional cocktail sauce & wafers)

2007 Dolcetto d’ Alba $20.00
Waldorf salad of apples, cranberries and pecan halves over frisee

2006 “Tre Stelle” Langhe Rosso $20.00 This is a blend of equal parts Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Dolcetto.
Holiday paella with local shellfish, sausage & chicken over saffron rice & vegetable pilaf

2006 Barbera d’ Alba “Du Gir” $30.00. This is a single vineyard Barbera that sees about a year in barrel. Its a big wine.
Coffee & red wine braised leg of lamb with herbed red potatoes roti &red swiss chard

2008 Moscato d’ Asti $20.00
The most delicious & simple apple crumb pie served with hazelnut & cinnamon ice cream
